I've had a Miata for years. Purchased my first one, a 1990 that did not run and did not have a title, in 2015. I was able to get the title for the 1990, got it running, and had a blast owning that hunk of junk for 3 years. I sold it in 2018 to buy my current project car. A 1995 Miata that was in much better condition. Since I wanted to keep that one as clean as possible, I knew I had to purchase a different one if I wanted to race Miatas. Enter the 1996. Or as I like to call it, Tracy.
She wasn't a clean car, but she was all there. Engine ran, transmission shifted, steering worked, and it even had a hard top! Even needing an engine refresh, the price was right.
So far she's gotten very little work done in the 4 months since purchase in April 2021. Life gets in the way, you know how it is. But I owe it to this car to save it. It is clear that Tracy was at one point someone's pride and joy - something I want to have happen again. See the running to-do list on the site so see what work is coming up.
